low-poly project
This project’s guidelines were to pick a celebrity or a well-known figure and map out the shapes you find on their face in a monochromatic palette. It was easiest to map this out physically with a black-and-white photo and tracing paper, rather than trying to do it on a computer where it can be a bit more difficult to stop yourself from getting caught up in the details of the face.
This was one of the first projects I was assigned after getting into the Graphic Design program at my school. It was also one of the first times I felt like I could really make art with the pen tool and became more comfortable using it.
