BITCHIN BLOOMS

When my childhood friend started her own flower business, I got to work establishing clear branding for her. We worked together closely throughout the span of one night together to get a rough idea for what she wanted her brand to look like. With a name like “Bitchin Blooms” she wanted to show customers how her flowers are not the boring grocery store flowers you could get anywhere else. But she was worried about how her business could come across if her branding didn’t illustrate her true personality. She wanted something sweet and cute to contrast the edgier name.

I started off with a color palette that accentuated the many pinks you can find in her bouquets and a softer green that won’t take away any attention from the bright colors she often displays.

Next, I created the logo from an idea of a cute flower with a face. Something that would be simple and recognizable, but would also make you happy to look at.

From there, I went through different font ideas that felt funky enough to fit the name of her business until I found one that suited the name and the cuteness of the flower icon.
