Heartland humane society rebrand

This group project was a study on working with real-life clients and how to work with another agency. For the specific nonprofit we worked for, they had already gone to another agency for a rebrand, so we were working with their elements. This project was exciting not only to work with a client but also to work collaboratively with teammates. It was fun to work out issues with the client and my peers in a way that was entirely different from working on my own.

My assigned task for this project was to design the brochures and business cards. The shelter wanted to include as much of its new branding colors as possible but wasn’t sure how to go about it without making it look too busy. I split up the colors in the brochure mainly by color-blocking, and keeping the business card as simple as possible. With so much text on the business card, adding bright colors to the mix would have been overwhelming, so I kept it simple with the navy blue in their branding.
