Netflix box art

While interning at Neuron Syndicate, I had a hand in making box art for Netflix. Most of my job as an intern was focused on grabbing screenshots that would be used by the other designers for box art. On some occasions, I had the opportunity to design different box art for many shows and movies.

The two shows that used my designs were Final Space and Seis Manos. At the time, this was such a big deal for me and I was so proud of myself for getting designs on Netflix. Because there’s only so much material a screenshot can provide you with and you need two versions of every box art (one horizontal, one vertical), I often had to go in by hand to recreate something that was never there in the first place or correct something that didn’t look right in order to make the thumbnail look seamless. Despite only being an intern, I was surrounded by a supportive team of designers who encouraged me to try new things and not be afraid to fail.

Working for Netflix at Neuron Syndicate was a fun challenge. It gave me experience in working with branding restrictions and designing consciously, along with being able to match drawing styles that don’t necessarily match up with my own.
